You Do Something to Me (Part 3)

Title: You Do Something to Me (Part 3 of ?)
Rated: G
For: thspace_between
who wanted
Pairing: Willow/Oz
Rating range: (flexibility would be a plus :D) Hmm…I want something sexy… maybe a mild NC17 (doesnt have to be graphic…just alluded to)
Timeline: Take as long as you need
Two or three things you would like to see in the fic: After Chosen, Oz getting all protective and uncharacteristically threatening Kennedy when she tries to hurt Willow, Willow and Oz doing something sexy for a change (can be sex but make it romantic if so)
Things you do NOT want in the fic: No-one else overshadowing Willow/Oz
Other Comments: Umm…have fun and thank you?

The next morning was sunny. The benefit of being in South America Oz thought. Willow had moved into the kitchen shortly after getting up and he just watched her move. He’d missed watching her. Seeing her from afar reminded him of highschool, catching glimpses of her every so often – wondering who she was. Now he was wondering again. He hadn’t seen her in years. She was the same. She was different. In a perfect world he could lie and say they had kept in touch, that he knew what she went through with Tara. He could say a lot of things that made him sound like more of a gentleman, but the truth is he did nothing and now there was a familiar stranger in front of him.

It scared him.

He pulled out one of the chairs from the kitchen table. “So…” Willow turned and he paused. This was more difficult than he had thought. “How’s things been…”

“Good,” Willow shrugged. “fell in love with the girl of my dreams, she died, I went evil.. tried to end the world. Then the world really was ending and I became the good witch of the north, every potential slayer in the world is now a real slayer and my hair goes white sometimes.”

“I’m trying to think of an answer to that, but nothings coming.”

Willow gave him a small smile.

“Wasn’t it easier when you could boil down everything to non-supernatural events?” Oz placed his hands on his thighs.

“Yes, but not as epic.” Willow turned back to the stove. “You want pancakes?”

She turned back when she didn’t hear anything and Oz was inches away from her face. “I don’t want to be awkward. I…”

“Should go…?” Willow looked at him, her upper lip quivering.

“Yeah, I can’t…”

“Stop falling in love with me?” She moved closer.

“Yeah,” Oz jerked back slightly. “And you’ve been through…”

“Hell?”

“Yes.”

“What else is new?” She wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him close, kissing him with a warmth he hadn’t felt in… well a long time. He moved closer, wrapping his arms around her body and feeling her.

He shook his head clearing his rising emotions. Resting his forehead on hers he said softly. “This is wrong.”

“Why? Goddess Oz. Why is it wrong?” He watched tears spring to her eyes. “I have always loved you. I ache when I’m around you. Other than Tara there is no one on this planet I have loved like I love you. Tell me I’m hurt, tell me I’m vulnerable.Tell me it’s because of the over commercialization of Valentine’s Day. Tell me we’re never going to be together forever. I don’t care. I just… I just want you to kiss me.”

So he did.

I just wanted to add to your writing discussion here (and to let you know the reasons for my not commenting on your stories). I personally tend to avoid WIPs entirely. I just dodge them until they are done because I hate getting all caught up and then having to go back and remember where I was. I also hate reading more than one book at once. I like to tottaly immerse myself in a story and if I have a lot of them going on I tend to be unable to focus on just one and give it the attention I feel it deserves. This was a challenge in college (I was a lit major).
I also tend to linger on one particular pairing for fanfic. Not that other stuff isn’t interesting, but since my favorite pairing is so popular, there is so much to choose from, and I”m happy reading anything people put together for that pair. One of the reasons I love your podcast is because it exposes me to a variety of things (although my favorite story on your show so far happens to be the pairing I favor, I found that out afterward though!)

hehehe… I understand about the pairing and wait for WIP. Hopefully I’ll get both of these stories done this week.

As for the podcast… thanks. I like putting variety out there. That’s why I did the Spike/Xander story up… A little something for everyone. 🙂 Plus, there’s some great authors out there… and some great stories.

Since I do the podcast I read everything. Ravenously looking for new stories. But if I wasn’t doing the podcasts I’d probably look for favorite pairings and settings.
