OMG! I LOVE that! For several reasons…
1) Since you said it was post-BDM I was picturing Mal or Jayne, and Wash was a total surprise, a pleasant surprise.
2) I love Xander being the caring bartender.
3) I love Xander and Wash meeting, since they’re both Joss, and have a prediliction for Hawiian shirts.

I thought it was Jayne too… and just squeeled when I saw it was Wash, which is odd in an office filled with cubicles LOL
