Okay so I’m borrowing from Garfield, (who coincidently turned 29 today) but the fat cat has a point – some people should just be drug into the street and shot. Case in point? The man who invented HTML. Now, I’m not saying that I don’t love the internet and I hate the fact that it exists. I’m very grateful for html and what it brings me. BUT I hate coding it sometimes. Now, this is probably largely due to the fact that I have had no formal training in it. I’ve mostly taught myself. So, at times, it’s frustrating – and I am so not one to read the manual.
Why the frustration today? Well, I’ve got a freelance gig to update a site. Now updating a site that someone else created is kind of like playing in someone else’s sandbox. It’s weird and oddly familiar and strange at the same time.
Also, I’m more of a print layout person. I like that in an image I can say EXACTLY where the text goes and it doesn’t change no matter WHO looks at it. Not so with a webpage. You might look at it in Firefox and see it’s fine, someone else IE and the header shifted to the right. Frustrating.
Oh well, I’m going to bed and the dulcet tones of Maroon 5 shall lull me into a false sense of security until tomorrow when I deal with table margins.

When I switched to wordpress the PHP coding almost sent me over the edge. EVERYTHING looked different! I spent weeks swearing that I had made a huge mistake, Blogger was so much easier. Now I wouldn’t switch back. Time heals…
Yes, I had to add the math challenge. I was being horribly spammed and it has temporarily solved the problem.

I wish I knew HOW to code it. I start trying to figure it out and it all ends up looking like a big ol’ jumble of nothing. Drives me crazy!
